represents the oath between a witch and a demon, or a sage and an angel mate

though the card definitely focuses more on the demon side

witches and sages get their power that way, and in return the sages have to serve in paradiso--so heaven, right--while the witches have to wander inferno--hell, obviously

is it that important for us to read it though? it doesn't look like there's a LOT of writing

are witches and sages at war with each other or something? sounds too much like the gods here if you ask me (⇀‸↼‶)

not really but it's still easier right? not to mention kinda neat

anyway um

yes and no?

originally they just held the balance of powers; light and dark right

this was pretty fucking important since it sort of kept the world going back then and allowed humans the choice between one or the other at any given moment

but then shit went down and the witch hunts happened, so there WAS a war between them

and now there aren't anyone left but two witches in the world

but yeah default is good!

i mean it kind of came with the neutral territory i guess but whatever

personally the gods here are just bloody dicks

like two different aspects of my evil half if anything

the witch hunts were STARTED by the sages; that was their war, basically

through it they managed to wipe each other out and shove a great big target on the heads of anyone that survived, basically

light and dark doesn't mean shit when as far as you figure there's destruction going on
